A Vision for Service: WUCO’s NOSA Leads Free Screening for Local Families
School: Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry (WUCO)
On September 27th, the NOSA chapter at Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry (WUCO) teamed up with the Health Career Ladder (HCL) program to host a free comprehensive vision screening. The event was an incredible success, with over 100 patients receiving care and glasses made on-site at no cost. WUCO students from every cohort volunteered their time and clinical skills, demonstrating the compassion, leadership, and dedication that define our community. The screening not only provided essential vision care to local families but also gave students a meaningful opportunity to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting. We are proud of the teamwork and collaboration that made this even possible and remain committed to expanding access to eye care in our community.
